Barrister Gideon Dwumah is a prominent Ghanaian lawyer. In 2011 he was Chair of the International Advisory Commission of the Commonwealth Human Rights Initiative and a member of the Commonwealth Lawyers Association. He is a former Member of Parliament in Ghana. He has served as Chair of the Public Accounts Committee. He has also served on The Legal Aid Committee, Prisons Service Council, General Legal Counsel and Judicial Council.
Has over Thirty-Five (35) years experience in the legal field, beginning with a law degree from Kings College, London University (1985) Gideon was called to the English Bar at Inner Temple in 1985 and 2007 in the Ghana Bar.

In a long and illustrious career, Gideon has picked up a few credentials for himself. Some of which are: Corporation of Secretaries (Final Certificate) 1985; Licentiate Membership, 1959; College of Europe, Diploma of Advanced European Studies, 1985; Fellow Chartered Institute of Secretaries and Administrators 1986; Notary Public,1987; Senior Advocate of Ghana (SAG), 1990; Member: Chartered Institute of Arbitration 1999.

Gideon is a member of the International Bar Association and the Commonwealth Lawyers Association. Gideon was a member of the management board of the International Bar Association and was the Chairman of the Credentials Committee. In 2005. Gideon was honored by the American Bar Association when he was elected as an International Fellow of the American Bar Foundation. The International Bar Association also honored Gideon as an Honorary Life Member of the Association.
